Review: Low-Carb Bread Mixture (Adam’s Brot)

Nowadays there are many bakery-made low-carb breads available, at least in Finland. However, they are not very low in carbs, around 10 g/100 g the lowest. Adam’s Brot is a Polish/German company that manufactures ingredients for low-carb baking at home and they have really squeezed the carbs out of their bread mixture: minuscule 1.9 g/100 g!!! Time to test it.

Nutrition Facts Amount/100 g
Energy 259 kcal
Protein 33 g
Carbohydrates 1.9 g
Sugars 0.6 g
Fat 13.3 g
Fiber 4.1 g

  1. One bag of baking mixture
  2. (Carbonated) water

The preparation is really simple, even a child can do it.

1. Mix

2. Shape the rolls

3. Raise them

4. Bake

If you crave something bread-like to eat, this is easy and fast to make and very low in carbs. The downside is the taste: it does not taste like rolls. Also, the texture is really sticky so you need to work those jaws to digest.
